Mr. Mensch's 9th Grade Honors English students took a break from reading Fahrenheit 451 to serve as listening buddies in some 3rd and 4th Grade classrooms yesterday morning. This experience is part of an MTSS initiative in the elementary school. The younger students are working on skills such as word reading, fluency, and comprehension. The best way to accomplish these goals is to read aloud as much as possible to anyone who is willing to patiently listen. The 3rd and 4th Graders found some Freshmen who were all ears! Β π

A brief message from the Food Service Department: Reminder to families in the district regarding Milk sales. If a student desires to purchase an individual Milk, they must have a positive balance in their school lunch account. The reason for this is that individual Milk sales do not fall under the Free and Reduced pricing structure. Milk is included in the meal cost, but only as a component of a complete meal. The cost for each milk sold separately is $0.50. We will not turn a student away from obtaining a milk, as it is vital to growth and development. They are, however, subject to a la carte pricing. If you have questions or need more information, please contact me, John Rosselli, at 570-356-3457 or email me at jrosselli@scasd.us. Thank you!
