Southern Columbia football continued their winning streak Friday night, coming up with a Homecoming win under the lights. The boys' record grew to 5-0 as they downed Danville, getting revenge for their loss against them last year. With a final score of 40-17, Carter Madden and Louden Murphy both came up strong with two touchdowns each. Brayden Andrews also had a pick-six, while Garrett Garcia had an interception to seal the victory. The team recorded six total sacks, and Homecoming King Isaac Carter came up huge for the defense with two of them, plus a safety. Carter also had a crucial field goal right before the half, giving the Tigers enough momentum to come back out with fire to seal the win. The defense came up huge and only allowed 14 points, while the offense, under the direction of Blake Wise, lit up the scoreboard. Next week the Tigers travel to Montoursville looking to reach 6-0.
