
Hi everyone! This is Mrs. Gessner. I hope you enjoyed our long weekend. I think tomorrow should be day 2 and we will have Guidance. Lunch should be what is listed on the menu for tomorrow.

The SCA Class of 2025 proudly presents the Fifth Annual "DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE." Girls residing in the Southern Columbia Area School District in Grades K-5 are cordially invited to a magical evening of dance. Bring your dad or a special someone!
When: Friday, February 16, 6:00-7:30 pm
Where: Southern Columbia High School, Old Gymnasium
Tickets are $20 per daddy/daughter couple.
Each additional daughter is $5.
Flyers are being sent home to pre-order tickets, and tickets will also be sold at the door. Please email Mrs. Zysset or Mrs. Trometter with any questions.


Brady Boucher, a 4th Grade student at G.C. Hartman Elementary School, was recently recognized as our Citizen of the Month. Congratulations Brady!


Elementary students were recently treated to a Germ City presentation sponsored by Evangelical Community Hospital.



The "Student of the Day" in Ms. Merook's room had the opportunity to read a story to his class today.

3rd grade students in Mrs. Madara's STEM classes utilized ClassVR headsets to reinforce concepts that they are learning in their science classes. Students were able to use virtual reality to explore the digestive system, respiratory system, skeletal system, and more!



Mrs. Venna and Mrs. Diehl's classes spent time with Miss Ashely from Rohrbach's Farm Market. She read two books and did a craft with the students.


Miss Sharrow's class enjoyed Polar Express day in their classroom on Friday. They were able to ride the Polar Express, do Polar Express activities throughout the day, watch the movie, and enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies!



Dylan Stine brought the state championship trophy for Mrs. Diehl's class to see today. Dylan visits her room every Friday morning with his Child Development class.

All Kindergarten classes helped create this beautiful sunflower mural in the elementary art room. Each child's work of art was positioned for a photo and then the photo was printed on a poster. The students had a lot of fun looking for their work of art in the mural! This is a perfect spot for a photo op during the art show on Community Night in the spring. What a great group of artists!

The Southern Columbia High School and Middle School Student Councils, along with Elementary SWPBIS, will be holding the "12 Days of Holidays" beginning on Thursday, December 7. All students and staff are encouraged to participate in these dress up days. π
