SoCo LIVE - Traditional Learning with the Flexibility and Choice of Virtual Learning
This is a flexible learning option offered to K-12 students that provides a blended learning environment combining daily live traditional in-person and virtual classroom experiences. This offers students a choice of educational delivery and access to Southern Columbia Area School District teachers and programs.
The student will follow the traditional daily schedule.
The student can exercise choice:
choose 100% virtual instruction with the student’s classroom teacher
choose to come into the building for a specific course(s); or
choose to attend traditional school every day or on specific days while attending school virtually the other school days.
Attendance in all classes will be taken.
This option can support and intervene with a struggling student.
This option allows students to participate in extracurricular activities and clubs. Students can participate in Band and Chorus.
This option provides access to all school district student services including special education, access to school breakfast and lunch, guidance, social work, reading specialists, nursing, speech and language, physical and occupational therapies, and other related services as needed.
SoCo CYBER - A Cyber School with all the Benefits of being a Southern Tiger!
The Southern Columbia Area School District is partnering with Edgenuity to offer a budget conscious cyber option to students in grades K-12 living within the school boundaries. Edgenuity provides a comprehensive, online curriculum, aligned to PA Standards, and designed to act as a stand-alone or supplemental curriculum. Programs can be individualized to be delivered on a full-time or part-time basis either through a complete online or a blended-learning program.
Full-time cyber school – Students are enrolled in the online cyber school and receive all instructional content and support online. Instruction is typically conducted through independent online lessons and instructional videos with support available from a SCA content area or special education teacher.

eBridge Academy - an Alternative Option for Families Considering a Cyber/Charter Program
This is an alternative option for families considering a cyber charter program. It is fully virtual and provides a comprehensive curriculum taught by PA certified teachers. Participants remain Southern students and can participate in extra-curriculars through the district. To get more information visit their website.
