Flexible Instruction Day

If the need arises for an additional school closing during the 2019-2020 school year due to weather or some other emergency situation, the day will be a Flexible Instruction Day (FID).  While students will not report to campus, they will need to login to the Sapphire portal to confirm their attendance.  Please click here to familiarize yourself with procedures for a FID.

Beauty and the Beast Tickets Are on Sale!

Tickets for Encore's production of Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical are now on sale! Tickets can be purchased online, at the box office- which will be open in the HS Auditorium Lobby Saturdays from 9:00 AM until 12 noon and Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM- or by calling (570) 336-2139.

Community Friends, Family, and Parents will read from their favorite books and share their love of reading with the elementary students.  “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child!”- Dr. Seuss

    Kindergarten Enrollment Opens

    Mon, 03/02/2020 Beginning March 2, 2020, G.C. Hartman Elementary, will open online enrollment for Kindergarten 2020/2021 school year. After completing the online enrollment please call 570-356-3252 to schedule an appointment for in-person registration the week of Mon. March 30th - Fri.     2020 Career Expo and Parent Pathway Night

    Tue, 03/03/2020 This is a free event for students, parents and organizations that want to share career paths, and future careers options and opportunities with middle and high schoolers and their families.The event will be held at the Columbia-Montour AVTS from 5:30-8:00  PM. Special Features

Southern Columbia is engaged in a yearlong initiative to Soar into Space in hopes of being chosen as a downlink site for a live feed emanating from the International Space Station. If chosen, students and staff will be afforeded the unique opportunity to speak with the astronauts currently on the space station sometime in spring 2020. To help the District's application stand out among the rest, Literacy Specialist Lindy Novak and Library Manager Amanda Noblit, have created a set activities and events.Learn More
