Continuity of Education in Pennsylvania Schools

With COVID-19 related school closures extending through at least April 6, 2020, it is essential that all schools revisited their Continuity of Education (COE) efforts.

Continuity of Education (COE) is the overarching term for any educational practices that occur in the event of a prolonged school closure. It is important that students have the opportunity to develop and maintain skills while away from the customary school environment. This can be achieved through a variety of ways. The Southern Columbia Area School District has decided to use the option of Planned Instruction to meet the Continuity of Education Requirement.

The Continuity of Education plan will begin on Monday, March 30 and continue through Monday, April 6.
