National Recognition for Football Team!

Congratulations to the coaches and student-athletes of the Tiger Football Team on being named to the 13th Annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions, a national award sponsored by MaxPreps and the Army National Guard. The Tour of Champions recognition is considered one of the most prestigious team awards in high school sports nationwide.

Principal Gets "Stuck for a Buck!"

G.C. Hartman students and staff recently held a special fundraiser to support the school's Pennies campaign. For "a buck" students had the opportunity to tape Principal John Fetterman to the bleachers. As the picture shows, the "stuck for a buck" fundraiser was a success! Girls Basketball D4 Playoff Action

The Girls Basketball Team will compete  in District 4 2A Semifinal action this afternoon against Muncy High School. The playoff game will be played at Montoursville Area High School starting at 1:00 PM. Good luck Tigers!

Visitor Management System to be Implemented

Beginning March 5, 2018, Southern Columbia Area will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to track visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools. This initiative is being funded by a Pennsylvania Department of Education Safe Schools Grant and is designed to provide a safer environment for our students and staff.

Blind Date with a Book!

February is Library Lover's Month and to celebrate, HS/MS Library Manager Mrs. Amanda Noblit has created a Blind Date with a Book.display that has proven to be a literary matchmaker for numerous Southern Columbia students! According to Mrs. Noblit, the books on display are decorated with wrapping paper, hiding the book’s title and author.
