All District students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM. Transportation will be provided. Final exams for periods 5-6, 7-8. 8-9 will be administered.

Final exams for students in grades 7-12 will begin today. Tests will be administered for classes taking place during Periods 1 and 2. Good luck!

Ceremonies Allow Seniors to Celebrate and Reflect

Baccalaureate and the High School Awards Ceremony were held May 29th, giving the Class of 2019 two additional opportunities to celebrate and reflect on their experiences and accomplishments as high school students.

Ag Day Tradition Continues!

Ag Day 2019 proved to be a shining example of a "student-centered classroom" as this year's version of the popular event was largely organized and managed by a group of high school students determined to carry on this tradition.

Teacher Grants Awarded by SCCF

The Southern Columbia Community Foundation in its pursuit of “upholding educational excellence” and “promoting innovative opportunities that inspire students” awarded five new grants to appreciative teachers as part of its 2019 Teacher Grant Program.

Teen Star Competition

Good luck to Kiersten Brecht, Zach Honabach, Mikaela Brouse and Dylan Kramer, who will be competing in this afternoon's 9th Annual First Columbia Teen Star Musical Competition. The musical show will be held at Bloomsburg University's Haas Auditorium beginning at 2:00 PM .

SCA Welcomes Lily!

This past week, Lily, a certified therapy dog, was introduced to G.C. Hartman's students and staff as the newest member of the "staff!" Lily will visit the school two days a week for the remainder of the school year under the direction of her handler, School Counselor Eric Deeter. According to Mr.

Memorial Day was established in 1868 to pay tribute to individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States. As President Reagan reminded us in 1983, "We are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free."

SCA Captures 6 Medals at State Meet

Southern Columbia's Track and Field athletes made strong showings at the PIAA State Championships coming home with six state medals in individual and unit competitions.
