The Southern Columbia Area School District Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting for general purposes beginning at 6:00 PM in the High School Library. The public is welcome to attend.

Summer Hours for School Offices

All District offices are staffed throughout the summer should you need to contact your child's school. The offices are open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM until 12 noon. Please note, because of HVAC and window renovations taking place at G.C. Hartman Elementary, the District Office has relocated to the HS Library, while the Elementary Office has relocated to the Middle School Office. All District and Elementary Office staff can reached at their existing phone extension and e-mail.

SCA to Host Local Police Officer Training

The regional terrorism task force, which protects Southern Columbia and surrounding communitites, is sponsoring a two-day training for local officers on best practices in responding to an active shooter event. The training will be held on Southern Columbia's campus today and tomorrow.

Hearty congratulations are extended to the ninety-two members of the Class of 2017 on meeting all challenges posed to them throughout their K-12 careers! We wish each and every graduate continued success in meeting- and exceeding- those challenges still to come as they move forward in their lives and careers.

Honor Grads Recognized

Among the students recognized at the 2017 commencement exercise were sixteen students who earned the distinction of being named an Honor Graduate. In order to receive this honor, students must complete ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade with a 95% or higher average.
