Parmesan crusted baked potatoes will be served to all students today as part of the Wellness Committee's Farm Fresh Food of the Month initiative. The potatoes were donated by Sterman Masser’s Potato Farm of Sacramento! A copy of the parmesan crusted baked potato recipe is found below.

HART Promotes STEM Education

STEM education in the District recently received a booster thanks to the efforts of HART volunteers who sponsored a STEM Family Fun Night. The event, open to students of G. C. Hartman Elementary School and their families, provided opportunities to engage in a variety of interactive science activities, including stations on making hovercrafts, building bridges, and codemaking.

Students Accept MS Science Challenge

Inspired by Science lessons taught in Mr. Anthony Pecora's classroom, several teams of Southern Columbia Middle School students entered the Children's Museum Science Fair, earning prizes awarded to the top three projects in each grade, grades 4-8.

Competitive Cheer Team Advances to Final Round!

Congratulations to SCA's Competitive Cheer Team whose impressive performance in Friday's Preliminary Round advanced them to today's Final Round competition of the 2018 PIAA Competitive Spirit Championship! European Trip Planned for 2019

As has been the case for the past 12 years, Southern Columbia Area teacher Mrs. Lauren Day is organizing an overseas trip for students and adults. This trip will take place during the summer of 2019 and will feature visits to Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Its itinery can be found at this link. The 15-day tour of Europe is not exclusive to Southern students and adults meaning those enrolled in other schools or living in other school districts can attend.
