Civic Groups Assist Trauma Kit Initiative

The District's Safe Schools initiative to place trauma kits throughout its schools and offices, received another much-welcomed financial boost from community members, this time through the generosity of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Catawissa Post #8306 and the Catawissa Valley

Artwork to be Featured in CSIU Gallery

Congratulations to Morgan Cole, Class of 2019, and CeCe Cook, Class of 2018, who were selected to display their artwork in galleries created by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU). The CSIU has set aside gallery spaces in its facilities to display artwork from students in its local school districts.

Ceremonies Bring Seniors One Step Closer to Graduation!

On May 30th, the Class of 2018, celebrated the pending close of their senior year by joining together in a student-organized Baccauleureate service, followed later that evening at the District's Annual Awards program which recognizes outstanding student achievement.

Senior Walk Promises to become a New Tradition!

Greeted by hugs, cheers, high and low fives, and tears of joy, members of the Class of 2018, walked the halls of the District's schools, including G.C. Hartman Elememtary, where many had begun their academic careers as anxious kindergarten students thirteen years earlier.

Egg Drop Challenges Students

Elementary and Middle School Enrichment students recently participated in the annual "Great SCA Egg Drop."  The STEM activity challenges students to design a system that will protect a raw egg from cracking or breaking after being dropped from G.C. Personal "Bests" Lead to PIAA Track and Field Medals!

Congratulations to Ethan Knoebel and Brant Long on their medal-winning performances at the 2018 2A PIAA Track and Field Championships! Ethan won a Bronze Medal in the 1600m Run while Brant finished sixth in the state in the Pole Vault competition, earning a State Medal.

Elysburg Rotary Assists Safe Schools Effort

Many thanks are extended to the Elysburg Rotary Club for their generous $500 donation toward the District initiative to place trauma kits in key locations throughout campus.

Track and Field Athletes Qualify for States!

Congratulations are extended to the following student-athletes who have qualified to compete in the PIAA 2A Track and Field Championships to be held May 25-26th at Shippensburg University: Ethan Knoebel, 800m and 1600m;  Brant Long, Pole Vault;  Kari Cambria, 100m hurdles; and Hanna Davis, 400m.
