Two familiar faces will be appearing on WNEP-TV and WNEP2-TV over the next two weeks as part of a public service announcement promoting an upcoming Mahoney Brothers concert to aid area youth and recreation programs. Southern Columbia students, Chase Petro (a freshman) and Michaela Williams (a fourth grader), joined by local community leaders and representatives of U.S Military Veterans groups, are featured in the PSA airing on WNEP at 8:27 AM, March 23rd and the week of March 26-30, and at the conclusion of WNEP2-TV's 10:00 PM newscast.

The concert will be held on April 7, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Area High School. Showtime begins at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Chase and Michaela are special guest performers and will play a violin duet of the National Anthem during an intermission tribute to U.S. Vietnam Veterans. Tickets can be purchased at Academy Sports, Mount Carmel and the Subway at the Shamokin Walmart. Tickets will also be sold at the door. The price per ticket is $20 with Vietnam Vets charged $10.00 (with proof of service). For more information, call event organizer Mr. Joe Cesari at (570) 373-3561.
